The History of Priscilla

On an otherwise uneventful day sometime in December of 2009, a new companion appeared on the desk of a co-worker. Melissa (name changed to protect the innocent) was nonplussed at the presence of pink livestock on her desk. The rest of us gathered in awe. A creature such as this seemed a thing of religion, mythology or perhaps folk art. We debated is she a cow? A sheep? A fanciful trip into the subconscious mind of a college student taking LSD? Regardless of her species, we all agreed she was female.

After the initial consternation at her sudden appearance on the scene, days came and went in the normal fashion. Melissa and the pink "thing" had disagreements. Mostly, Melissa just didn't like her and wished she would leave. Unwanted, her pinkness trundled off to an unoccupied desk nearby where she resided for the following eight months.

In August 2010, changes were in store for the company. All employees were busily packing their work implements and personal possessions into crates for a big move. In this time of tumult, the poor pink darling seemed forgotten. But she knew she had to move on. Living in an empty office, devoid of the contact of fellow beings, was no way to be. It took her a little longer to get to the new office, but she persevered and once again appeared on Melissa's desk.

Melissa was incensed. She had purposely left this creature behind and wanted no part of her. It was during this sad time that others took pity and recognized her potential. New friendships were forged and our formerly forlorn friend finally opted to share her name with the world: Priscilla!

Now, having learned how to make friends and wanting to see more of what life has to offer, Priscilla is traveling. This is a log of her travels and adventures.
